Depression in older adults not only causes distress and suffering, but can also lead to impairments in physical, mental, and social functioning. A substantial number of older people receive no treatment or inadequate treatment for their depression. This is partly because it can be difficult to disentangle depression from the many other disorders that can affect seniors.

Through Senior Choices Depression Intervention Program, treatment is available and can be extremely effective. Our Gero-Psychiatrist and Therapists are well trained in recognizing and treating depression in older people. Our goal is to help seniors feel better and achieve the successful outcomes they desire.

Services include:

  • Comprehensive Assessment and Evaluation
  • Therapeutic Focus on Coping Strategies and Problem Solving
  • Individual and Group Therapy
  • Medication Consultation and Management
  • Family Support
